This is a really good deal but think its priced close to where it should be with the current market. The original price should have been about 1200 due to the nice display, so this is a good deal.

With that said though, there are a lot of max q laptops coming out with the 1060 which has nearly the same performance for cheaper. The 8th gen h series processors are 6 cores so there's that. Last but not least, I haven't had the best service from EVGA in the past. I ordered a few 1080s from them and one of them came really beat up and they would not allow me to return it. On a different occasion I ordered a part that was supposed to fit and had email documentation where they confirmed it would work, but they made me pay for the return shipping. If something goes wrong with this, you could be left paying the shipping fees which could be pretty high ($40 or so).

For what you get, I'd still call this a good deal but not impulse buy worthy.

BTW I bought CS17 last time it was on sale. With G-Sync and free backpack + mouse.I love it. It is fast, reliable.
There are only 2 things that I do not like:
1. Weight
2. Trackpad.

I don't know what EVGA's track record is when it comes to laptop reliability, but that's a damn good deal for the specs.

Great specs/price. If only it didn't have 10-key and offset trackpad/qwerty layout.

It's a good deal, would jump on it if I didn't have 3 laptops laying around already. Only thing is the newer HQ processors are going to be coming out in a month or 2 so this may go down in price more.

Wasn't considering it until you mentioned the numpad. Definitely worth it now.
