Anyone have bad experience selling their gift cards to those major card buyback pools?

I see cardpool buys your gift card, and just relists it,
but the thought of being on the hook for an uncertain amount of time until it sells, plus 1 year, is disconcerting.

I have just under $100 best buy gift card I can't get rid of, and want no less than 90% cash for it, but these buyback companies just sound shady, with no seller protection.

I sold to cardpool recently, and choose an Amazon gift card as payment. I received the code and applied it to my Amazon account that same evening.
