Based on price alone, I'd have to agree. These are much cheaper than any of the top rated smart plugs, and if they actually performed on a similar level, they'd undercut the market and prices would drop substantially.

Oddly, it seems that Fakespot has sorta failed on the reviews of this device, awarding it a B. The seller as a whole appears to have a D rating though, which is probably telling. I guess I don't want to gamble with home and electronics, so I'll just stick with the TPLink stuff (tbh I still have ones that I haven't used yet sitting around lol)

I can't think of uses for smart plugs other than Christmas lights, lamps, and being mean to your kids and turning off their TVs.

can't really burn house down when all your parts use DC and for AC is using a relay.
