Is Cuisinart's propane smoker better or Masterbuilt's?

Bummer, I was waiting for the CGG 306 to go on sale but recent reviews and the many updated reviews are making me reconsider. People seem to love it as first but then it seems it goes down hill quickly.

That smoker looks really narrow. I wouldn't get it. I've never owned a propane smoker only electric or charcoal. I feel like if I smoked a port butt for 15+ hours I would have to be refilling propane all the time.

Stick with the weber q. Sure it costs more, but will end up costing you less in the long run because it will last much longer. If you need one now I reccomend buying one lowes.com and using a coupon. Just google lowes coupon generator. Or if you can wait till the end of the season you can get one on clearance. There are two sizes. Even the smaller one holds enough food for several people.

I can do about 3-5 smokes with a full propane tank in my Char-broil vertical propane smoker, depending on how long each smoke runs.

It goes longer than you think since the burner runs low and slow.

That is interesting. I like my masterbuilt electric the best. I never have to worry about running out lol.

The smoker looks like a good bang for your buck. Probably about 200 or so reviews out there between Amazon, Home Depot, Walmart, etc., and they all give 4/5 star reviews albeit 1 or 2 lower reviews. The only consistent complaint I heard was the water bowl is a bit small and needs refilling every 45 minutes or so. I feel that could be solved by just buying a bigger pan if you run into this issue.

Lowest price from reputable dealer is from Walmart at 146.56 before taxes.

Are you enjoying your electric smoker? I feel that's the best option for a newcomer and for set and forget application.

I love it. I have the masterbuilt electric 40in with window and remote control. Very easy to use. I just got the weber smokey mountain only used it once so far. It's not that hard to use just an awkward set up getting to the coals. I almost wish it had two doors one on either side
