i needed a system like this a few months ago, and instead i opted for a closetmaid heavy duty wire shelf system that would have been slightly smaller overall. The closetmaids are not stand alone like this, but get screwed into the wall (studs, toggle bolts)--very secure and easy to install. And the price with discounts on the closetmaid website came out to $200 (cheaper than buying it from home depot).
Had this been on sale at costco at the time, I'd have considered Costco just for the return policy. It does look bigger and clunkier than what I needed for my small garage space, but this sales price like a great deal compared to other competitor options out there.
