Agreed. Thanks for posting. My recommendation would be to wait to end of season as well. Mine was $30. This model I believe. As far as the smoker goes, it is great. Excellent way to get into entry level smoking. Most will feel it's not real smoking but it's super easy. Digital temp and time keeping. Just put some new wood chips in the little tray and check the water every 1.5 hours and bob's your uncle.

Ever consider getting the attachment that allows for setting and forgetting for long smoking periods without refill?

I have that thing and hate it. Too much smoke leaks out the top so your only getting a fraction into the smoker plus it clogs up on the bottom all the time so you have to stir it around with a coat hanger. The design is terrible.

No, an hour and a half/ 2 hrs is perfect for me. Very rarely would I not be available for like a 4-6 hour period. Not worth the investment - at least for me personally.
