CVS Info:
First of all, you will need a CVS ExtraCare card. This is obtained easily at any store at the register. Some will ask you to fill out the form then and there, others will just give you the card and ask you to return the form later.
Once you have the card, you can now start CVSing
The biggest thing to understand is that CVS uses a promotional program called "ExtraCare Bucks" (commonly abbreviated as ECBs.) These print out on your receipt immediately once you purchase an item offering them; almost like an instant-rebate you get at the register. You can turn around and use them anytime on almost anything in the store, except for alcohol, cigarettes, and gift cards.
Often, CVS advertises items as "Free after ECB" – For example, throughout the month of November, CVS has Crest Pro Health Whitening Toothpaste in 4.2 oz size, for free after ECB. The cost is $3.49, but you get $3.49 back instantly on your receipt. The best part is that there are often coupons available that can actually help you earn money… like for the above toothpaste, there are $1 off coupons available, meaning the item would be $2.49, but you get $3.49 in ECBs back. The limit on this toothpaste for this month is 2. So if you wanted to start off small to get into CVSing, the thing to do would be to buy one toothpaste in the first transaction (and use a coupon if you have one, so that you either pay $3.49 or $2.49 in cash), then use the $3.49 ECBs you get back from that first transaction to pay for the second tube of toothpaste, and again, receive $3.49 more in ECBs.
The trick now is to roll your ECBs so that you rarely pay more than maybe a dollar or two in tax on transactions, instead using your ECBs from previous transactions… then earning more to keep doing the same. It's a cycle (and a game/addiction to some, lol.)

Definitely missed you! So glad your power is on
I kid
Jenniiiiiiii!
So, about noon Wed, it was just freaking cold. Robert went and got the kerosene heater and brought it in a while. We decided to go to town for supplies.....omg...trees and lines were down everywhere. It looked almost like a tornado hit.
We made it to Walmart, but they couldn't take debit cards (or EBT for the food stamp people! Poor ebt people!) and there was a $50 limit on credit cards, I guess because there were problems getting them to authorize. We had so much trouble finding supplies. They were cleared out. Everywhere was. Finally, we found the batteries and candles at Big Lots.
There was no kerosene. Everywhere was out. The towns to the north of us had ZERO power and their pumps weren't working, so they came here and bought it all. We spent $100 in supplies, only for my son to call us on the way home and tell us the power was on.
Half of the businesses in town were closed due to no power. I think they said at peak, they had 2000 out in town, and 4700 in the county. Last I heard, 1600 were restored in town. My mom is not one of them. She hasn't had ANY power in days. We've had a little every day. She has most things on gas, though, so she's getting by. My grandfather only lost his power for a few hours.
There was a flash flood warning, too. The river is out of it's banks. I have pictures of various things to upload and share.
I can hear someone using a chainsaw now. We were blessed. It could have been much worse for us. The trees to the left of my house snapped and came down, but by some miracle of God, the ones behind our house (that would fall on it) didn't. A guy I went to school with works for my dad and lives a short distance from me, and a big tree fell on his house. His wife and kids were home. Everyone is ok. It was really weird how we could hear popping in the woods. It sounded like gunfire.
It was sort of a scary experience not knowing about the trees, hearing how many were going to be w/o power for a long time. I really give our city credit. They have been working around the clock and bringing volunteers in to help. It's been amazing.
I can't think if I forgot anything.
Thank you, AM, for checking in on us. It really meant a lot to me.
