Credit Card car rental insurance coverage closed my case without helping me. Help!

I rented a car in france from Avis (Avoid them at all costs!). When I returned the car, they
had 3 people looking all over the car one after the other. Finally, one of the girls knelt down and said there is a scratch underneath the front bumper.
She charged me for $350+ for this scratch. One of the other girls used her feet to lightly kick the door during the inspection!

I know they are scamming me so I filed a complaint to my credit card company. AT&T Universal. They are supposed to have car rental insurance when I used them to rent the car!
But after submitting all my documents, the 'eclaims line' that handles the claims keep asking me to submit more documents. But I have submitted everything!!!

Now I checked my status and my case is 'closed' and they are not refunding me what Avis charged me for the 'scratch' on the bottom of the bumper!

What can I do? I can't even find out where to give AT&T universal card's car insurance a review!

why wasn't furiously shitting on the floor considered?
The projectiles thus created could have become useful missiles. And flinging merde is something the French understand and appreciate at a visceral level. OP would have commanded their attention and respect.

When I rent a car, I always take pictures all around of the entire car. Sometimes scratches in the paint are hard to see if car is a little dirty, but it's your responsibility to check entire car and have them note any imperfections.

Contact CC company and see if they can assist you further. Your car insurance company could pay the claim also, but you may have a deductible.

That's the problem. I took pictures all around the entire car except I didn't Kneel down to take picture of the bottom of the front bumper. Two persons couldn't find any problems with the car. Then the 3rd person came and took a long time. That's when she knelt down and finally found scratches and said I have to pay for them.

So... did you cause the scratch? You never really said one way or the other. And why wasn't the $350 charge discussed at AVIS when you returned it?

I didn't cause the scratch. I drive extremely carefully and I know I didn't cause the scratch. It was when I returned it that they charged me $350.

That sucks! If it makes you feel any better, I will never rent from Avis.

Facepalm Those girls weren't Avis employees. They were ...uhh..."working girls". That's how they operate in France now since the authorities have been cracking down on prostitution there.

A "scratch under the front bumper" is just a euphemism for something a little more pleasurable. You paid $350 for it but never collected.
I could go for a little scratch under the bumper right now, if you know what I mean.

Call the CC company if you want answers, why would you come to this forum instead of calling them?

There's a good chance that card doesn't even offer primary insurance (i.e.- they'd only cover what your car insurance doesn't). These days only premium cards offer that kind of coverage.

Thanks this thread reminds me to take photos of underneath the car too.

I religiously take photos and mark everything even if it might be a scratch aka bird poop.

I have a CC with 1st rental insurance but still, can never be certain.
