I can enroll online, at store, or by calling 1-800-774-2678.
*Enroll your account by September 30, 2018. Offer valid for new auto renewal enrollments only. After setting up auto renewal on any visa card, a Costco $20 cash card will be sent to you by mail in 4-6 weeks after September 30, 2018.
To enroll online:
Go to Costco.com. Click Sign In/Register.
Go to My Account and Click Account Details.
Click Renew Membership, then select Auto renew.
>>May 30th Update>>> They are experiencing issues with online signup. When you add visa credit card, it DOES take in their system but doesn't show on your end. Call 1-800-774-2678 to confirm and they will document. Call back August 13th if you haven't received $20 Cash Card. They gave me a $5 cash card for the troubles - YMMV
>>>> Call center CANNOT confirm if this is targeted or not - I have called 3 times and nobody has a clue. My suggestion is to add auto renewal with Visa card, then call and document.
At Costco store:
You can sign up at the membership counter at your local Costco. Take letter with you and enroll by September 30, 2018.
****For those with CURRENT auto renewal: Maybe remove auto renewal now, wait a month, then resign up for auto renewal???

I will be renewing anyways but just curious since I'm not sure I want to renew at Executive membership level this time around. It depends on how much I get in cashback form the 2% cashback.
I've attached a picture of the letter that came in the mail. The envelope showed the Costco logo and stated in red font "Get a FREE $20 Costco Cash Card!" right in the middle of the envelope.
