50% off on BULLS bikes on www.BullsBikesUSA.com [bullsbikesusa.com] with coupon code SPRINGO. Untouchable component groups for the money. BULLS is not hugely popular in the USA, but very much so in Europe, in particular Germany (100's of bikes from every category). They have race teams. this is not some crap company. I found some reviews on the mountain bikes I was looking at, and bought a hardtail and a full suspension. They are clearing out their inventory in preparation for 2019 models. These prices are very very cheap at 50% off.
UPDATE: You will find a few people, especially on the 1st and 2nd page here, indicating that this cannot be legit, or that you will only a "get a frame, wheels, and a chain", and then plugging Performance Bicycle. My suggestion is that you contact the manufacturer (Bulls Bikes) at the website noted above and ask them directly rather than relying on people that have no clue (how's that for a pun). I am not self-promoting as some posted here. I do not live in California, and have no direct or indirect connection to Bulls Bikes or any eBay sellers that may be selling Bulls Bikes, other than my purchase of some new Bulls Bikes. And, there are people here suggesting that Performance Bicycle will have the deal for you, yet they do not post anything to compare with, literally nothing. While Performance Bicycle is a fine/good reputation store, they have nothing even remotely close. Look at and note the final price of these bikes. THESE ARE CLOSEOUT PRICES - AND YES THEY SEEM TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE! As with any item/product, eBay may have it at a lower price, or a higher price.
Why are the prices so inflated vs the reviews prices of the same bike. Methinks they just inflated the price to make the discount look big.
For instance the site shows the price before discount of the Cup 3 to be $3700. The review in their own link says $2400. I can't stand these kinds of shenanigans.
Would it really matter whatever was done with the retail price, when the final price of what one is paying is what counts? You know, eBay has a 20% off coupon for today only PICKDADSGIFT. Find the bike you want and then search it on eBay for a potentially really CRAZY price.

Yep, basic retail trick. For the same price on lower tier road bikes you can get better components on a Fuji bike (from Performance Bicycle).
Better deals are always better. Do you have a specific Fuji bike you're referring to?

I got myself a Harrier based on your earlier (disappeared?) posting of the eBay option.
(360 shipped with the 20% off coupon)
The PayPal goes to Bulls Bikes USA if going to the bay, if you're at all nervous about the source of these cycles. This is assuming that's not just a clever ruse.

Between this and the ebay option I don't know what to get. I am new to bicycles again and want to ride with my child. The gravel or a low end hardtail look interesting to me.
Only if you want a higher level bike. Plainly put, you will not find a better bike for $360 shipped. That 20% off on eBay makes any purchase today a big deal. A $500 purchase will save you $100.
Did you really post this deal twice? By your writing it sure looks like self promotion
OP posted the eBay based deal earlier, but the thread was deleted. I only know this because I went back to it to thank the OP after my purchase, and it was as if it never existed.
So, less sketchy on a technicality?

Word of advice if you get a carbon bike. Use a decent torque wrench to tighten any fasteners that involve carbon parts, or else you'll risk cracking them and experiencing catastrophic, seriously injurious and potentially fatal failure (to yourself, not just to the bike). E.g. seat post, headset, cranks. My bike's titanium which is a lot more forgiving, but it has an all-carbon fork and I'm always careful to not overtighten it.
I want to get in to road bikes so this will be my first one to own. Thanks
You want to get into road bikes? You are going to want to visit a shop and try some out. The geometry is very different than what you are likely used to. A small local bike shop will try talking you into 3x what you need. A chain like Performance Bike will give you more realistic options (although with less help).
Your first purchase of a road bike from an ebay seller with 51 stars and only 93% positive feedback is absolutely a bad option--not as bad as Walmart, but still not a good start.
The 105 gearset they are selling the bike with costs $400. You are getting $50 of bike. Something isn't right here.

Then go shop brick and mortar and find a good fit for you and the kid.

Good point, I hope that anyone buying carbon fiber knows that at the end of the day it's plastic. While much stronger/lighter than normal plastics of similar strength, it still cracks and the wrong failure could be catastrophic.
