$150 Best Buy eGift Card + $15 Best Buy Savings Code

Below is what I've experienced from past deals like this:

Q1: Can you buy one $450 gift card and still get the 3 x $15 savings codes?
A1: Yes. If you want to check, try to add 1 x $450 gift card and you'll see that 3 x $15 savings codes will automatically be added to your card. And no, you will not receive 1 x $45 savings code -- you will receive 3 x $15.

Q2: Can I stack the $15 savings codes together and/or with other gift cards, rewards certificates?
A2: Yes. Note that there are limits if you use them online. I think about no more than 10 gift cards or savings codes combined for each online order. There are probably in-store limits as well, but I personally have been able to use as many as 15 savings codes (and/or gift cards) in one transaction at a time. YMMV

Q3: Can I use the $15 savings codes to purchase gift cards from Best Buy?
A3: Recent reports says NO. YMMV. See this thread. However, it seems buying Best Buy gift cards with Best Buy gift cards (and savings codes) still works in-store. I tried this on 6/11/2018 and it worked. Greatbam noted similar success on using savings codes to buy Best Buy gift cards on 6/8.

Q4: If I return an item that was purchased using the $15 savings codes,will I get the $15 savings codes back?
A4: In my personal experience, for an online purchase -- the funds go back to the savings codes. If your savings codes are already expired, this means that your refund is $0. Last week though, I used this type of savings codes (i.e. those that expire) in-store, returned said items in-store (before savings codes expired) and received a regular gift card in return (i.e., one that doesn't expire). YMMV

Q5: Will I get Best Buy Rewards points for purchasing these gift cards?
A5: Yes. Just make sure you enter your rewards member number at the time of purchase. There's a spot for it at the bottom of the screen after you enter your payment information. This is a great way to reach Best Buy Rewards Elite status. (Additional note: if you did it correctly with your member number, it should appear in your rewards history as "E-Gift Card Purchase" within a day)

Q6: Can I buy more than 3 x $150 gift cards and get more than 3 x $15 savings codes?
A6: Note that in each order, you can only have a total of up to $500 gift cards so the only way to do more than 3 is to place at least one more order. In the past, when I tried to place a second order using the same email/name/credit card information from a prior purchase -- the order went through with the savings codes showing up in the cart. But when the confirmation email arrived in my email, the value of the savings codes were removed. The only time purchasing more than 3 worked for me was when I ended up using the following different information: different email address, different name, and different credit/debit card. Using the same billing address and phone number did not appear to be an issue. YMMV

Q7: Is this purchase considered "outside" of Best Buy (for those attempting to fulfill a Best Buy credit card promotion)?
A7: Yes. Best Buy customer service said that CashStar is considered "outside" of Best Buy.

For those who have the Chase Freedom credit card and have not yet used up their 5% cashback limits for the quarter, you can also pay using Chase Freedom via PayPal and get 5% cashback.
