Just picked one of these up for $147ish after tax (23462 zip), I had an LG G3 and G5 and didn't have a complaint with either. Switched to a Samsung S7 Edge after, a phone I truly hate with all of my heart. This phone was posted a couple months ago and had positive feedback when it was $299.99. At $139, this is a steal.

Take the BarCode to the store
Find a register that is working but no Associate is there (Clothing, Paint, Electroincs, Guns/Ammo)
Quickly use the Hand Scanner to scan the Barcode and check the Screen to verify the stores inventory.
With that knowledge go to the phones and tell them you want _______ phones you have ____ in stock.
If they argue with you have them scan the bar code while you look at the screen
If the store has been recently remodeled with the phones in cages, the phones will be in a drawer on the left side

Verizon working now.
Successfully got new nano nfc supported sim card on verizon wireless. The first store was entering the MEID number and according to verizon corporate that is wrong. Corporate said I am supposed to use the IMEI number.
The second store entered the IMEI number from the phone which leaves off the last digit that is on the box label. My LG G6 is working on Verizon now.

Second year promise:
I had two phones to register for the 2nd year warranty. The LG folks seem to have an automatic policy of rejecting receipts that have a generic phone description. Note that the receipt likely has (as it did in my case) a UPC number for each phone purchased. This is unequivocal evidence that the correct item was purchased. It is more certain than any description of model or make that could appear on the receipt.
In both registrations I shared the receipt and a copy of the box side (showing UPC, IMEI and model). In both cases they kicked it back to me 2 or 3 times saying it didn't have an appropriate description on the receipt.
I simply said "UPC is on the receipt. The UPC indicates the exact product purchased and is the standard method of guaranteed product identification. I have fulfilled all requirements to receive the extra year warranty."
That got it through on the 2nd email for one phone and the 4th email for the other phone.
Be persistent and they'll give it up. The LG promise folks are either badly trained, or they are intentionally trying to thin out the herd.
