I'm prepared for a million thumbs down from the cpu builders out there and those who hate Alienware. So you may not want to even read this post buutt Price per spec on this machine is decent compared to most built "Alienware r7's"
No. This is just a super terrible deal. It was around ~1200 on black friday when the system was selling for $1000 then you could upgrade some of the components at Dell.com. That was just lukewarm, IMO.. as a custom builder could've saved much more on parts for better parts.

The graphic card is the expensive part, but with the next generation graphic cards coming out in July-September, these prices will come down even more.

If you actually purchased this system at this price, then you DESERVED getting ripped off.

Much of that is untrue. Specs-wise, the best deal this last BF was that one that one that sold out in about 20 minutes on Amazon. The most comparable Alienware deal (which was arguably one of the best deals that day overall) was on an R7 8700 (non-k) with a 1080Ti (FE) and 16GB ram. That cost around $1750 but had roughly $250 CB from a website with initials BF. A comparable build from new parts would, at the time, have been around $1900, even using BF deals (modulo deals that ran out too fast for me to remember).

Considering the k upgrade (good) and the recent massive drop in SSD prices (objectively good, but makes OP's deal comparatively somewhat worse), this deal is warm, but not smoking. The downvotes are unwarranted, anyway.

OP here
Wow I guess I was way wrong, I can't win in this computer game. I have been searching for this spec desktop with these qualifications for about a month and can't find anything. On slick deals or searching online computer sales. I don't have a Black Friday that I can wait for. It is needed soon my son who has been through hell watching his sister battle cancer for 6 years and can't build one.
So currently with this hardware I don't see what it could be missing except faster ram, and has the power to add gpu when they drop and he learns too do it. please where can I find equivalent for cheaper factoring in premium warranty for someone who just may use it.
I am being humble in this message no animosity.
Thanks
This is about 100 dollars more expensive than the normal sale price for the item. The retail may be 2300 for this but most days of the week this price can be found anywhere. Slickdeals are usually lower than the normal sale prices. It's not a bad price If you just want to get a machine, but not terribly hard to save a few hundred off this price with a few months of lookin. Best of luck
