I bought almost the same build last Xmas for this price, yet it came with a 1080. The cheap card in this one really blows this deal.

IBuyPower runs much better deals through the year, especially around the holidays.
While I agree this deal isn't really anything special, I call BS on your claim that you could have got nearly the same configuration with a 1080 during the holidays. Back then 1080s alone were going for $600-$800. Even now getting close to this same setup is pretty much impossible for $900 (unless it's a refurb).

Agree. It also wouldn't have been an 8th gen CPU

Grabbed a PCparts picker guide and tweaked it.

Similar system build, no OS, comes out to $1037 before coupons and rebates. Not clear if this is the 3gb or 6gb 1060. The 1060 is a good GPU, Im not sure if itd do high 1080p for all games but Id think its capable of that for most, its if youre getting to 1440 or higher where the card will struggle.
