Just received this email from Discover - "You'll earn a $15 statement credit when you use your Discover card in Samsung Pay 3 times, now through August 1".
This may of course be targeted to specific accounts and not all Discover card holders. Full terms of the promotion - This promotion is only available with Discover and Samsung Pay from 6/25/18 through 8/1/18. Three (3) transactions must be made during the promotional period to receive a one-time $15 statement credit. This promotion is intended for the original recipient only and is non-transferable. Users need to set up Samsung Pay on a qualifying Samsung Galaxy device. The statement credit will be applied within 2 billing cycles after the promotional timeframe ends.
I see a lot of questions in this thread so please read this first if you still have any. 1.
A minimum purchase is not required. You are free to buy sticks of gum in three separate transactions at self checkout. And remember, Discover is still offering 5% back at grocery stores through the end of the month. 2.
All Samsung Pay enabled devices (Galaxy S6 though S9, Note 5, Note 8, Gear 2 & 3 smartwatch models with Sam Pay support) qualify for this offer assuming you received the email from Discover. 3.
When this offer was available last time SD users reported not receiving statement credits after buying gift cards through the Sam Pay app. If you don't want to take a risk, I'd strongly suggest you make 3 transactions in store. Plenty of convenient options out there (self-checkout, gas stations, vending machines, etc.)
