The 3.3v "issue" is not an an actual issue. Support for 3.3v PWDIS is a part of the newer SATA spec. The problem is when you're using older power supplies with the newer SATA v3.3+ compliant drives. So, the problem isn't the drives, it's that people are using outdated power supplies with newer hardware, rather than replacing those power supplies with ones compliant to todays specs. And rather than paying more $ for a new psu, you have people using cheap workarounds, it's just that people think they're working around a drive problem when it's actually a psu problem.
Most of them are now coming with the whites now (they are the same reliability and FW as the reds) but deters people from shucking them and reselling the bare drives.

Pretty much all of them have the 3.3v issue unless you get very lucky. It's not a big deal really. I've found the easiest thing to do is just disassemble/pull the 3.3v line out of the SATA connectors on the power supply. I was using Molex to SATA power for a while but it's kind of messy with the extra wires and connectors.
Yeah my credit card doubles the warranty or somesuch but I've never tried to use it. Seems like a PITA honestly because you can't go through the manufacturer. Ever tried it?

Shuckable yes. And not guaranteed Red drives, but these are the ones that often contain Reds.
Very tempted to get 2 more
