Why isn't this getting any props? This is a great vac at a great price. Amazon is selling it for $400 ($80 more).

Sorry, my mistake. This is NOT the Absolute model that has the hardwood floor attachment.

I was going to get this from costco (V8 animal), but wanted to check the other deals here, as one comment stated I did contact dyson.com and got the V8 absolute + 4 free attachments and they match the costco price of 319.99 after the chat. Thank you!

Was this a typo? You got them to match costco's animal price and you're receiving the absolute item? Seems too good to be true!

I just price matched this at dyson.com! They were only able to offer the v8 animal and not the v8 animal+ because they don't have it in stock. They said the only difference between the two is that the v8 animal doesn't come with the up top adaptor brush but ordering it off dyson gives me 3 additional tools!

It only shows the absolute for me too on the site but when I chatted with the rep, she offered the v8 animal to me. The receipt she sent afterwards also says the v8 animal is the one I purchased.

I ordered today and got Dyson.com to match the 319.99 price for the V8 animal. The only difference between the animal and the absolute is the soft roller, and I was able to get that as one of my free attachments! My total was 319.49 for the following:
Dyson V8 Animal
QR Mattress ToolSoft Roller Cleanerhead
Wand assembly (yeah I got the most expensive accessories)
Overall a great deal. They did not charge tax and had free shipping too.

People often say the V8 is a V6 with less suction and better gas mileage. Shouldn't it be called 4-banger?

Amazon has the ultimate for $399. Call/chat with Dyson and you can get the 3-free attachments and in my case I did not have to pay sales tax. Worked out to be ~$50 more than Costco with the HW floor cleaner head and a few more attachments.
