Anyone knows how well the bag stands up in light rain? I'm thinking to get one for caring laptop to work.

Probably depends on the lining. One problem with a canvas bag I had was that it took forever for it to dry out when it was wet. If you have to deal with much rain, you might want to stick with nylon.

IT DOESNT. i wish i had photos to show you. rain left permanent spots all over the bag once it dried. it DOES NOT stand up well at all, and material started fading after i left the bag on my window sill inside my office for about 2 hrs 1 day and 2 hrs the next day. ( sun really did some work on it)

I would not consider this a "Leather" bag. It is 99% canvas with leather covers and shoulder strap. I use one of these for my laptop. Sturdy enough, no issues after 12 months of daily use. Did not use in rain, but has held up well going through airports, etc.

Why not just put a layer of resolene on it? A small bottle can put a layer of two of protection and it will hold up fine. *edit* I assumed this was a faux-leather or something less porous. For Canvas, I would just use a similar type spray solution that will offer water protection (similar to what you spray on shoes).
