The same item is on sale at Costco for $29.99, normally $39.99.

I had composed a lengthy, detailed review for Walmart's site, but once I installed the two units I purchased, I discovered the worst of the negatives is so bad that I'll only bother addressing that.

The motion detector is worthless! Both of my units are blind outside a radius of about 4 feet. I fully charged both prior to testing, and tested during the day and at night. The second one I tried triggered properly on its sides ONCE and then refused to detect thereafter unless I was almost directly underneath it.

My mounting location is a single-story, hip roof fascia of average height from ground.

I can walk to either side of these, walk right up to my windows a few feet away from them, wave my arms around, move my body around, walk around the area, and the lights won't activate. I tried this a number of times with the same results with both units.
If you get very close to it, it will trigger almost every time.

So, if you can get the criminal to cooperate and stand close to it, it'll work out for you. Otherwise, you're SOL.

Also, the timer is flaky on one of mine. I set it to 30 seconds and it wouldn't shut itself off after detecting me – minutes went by. In another test, it shut itself off, after about 45 seconds. I have no confidence that these units won't stay on all night, if triggered, and quickly drain the batteries.

If you're looking for a security light with a decent motion detector feature, stay away from this model.

If you'll be converting it to constant-on, dusk-to-dawn using an extra battery array (or DC adapter, etc.), it will be ok for that, since it's bright enough to illuminate a small-to-medium size area, and the adjustable heads help with coverage.

If I decide not to convert mine, I'll be seeking a refund for sure.

$39.98 at Walmart, not $29.98 as stated here.
