It has an IPS panel, which is much better than TN and excellent for this price point. IPS provides rich colors and wide viewing angles. Should be more than enough for most people's needs. If you really want deep blacks, high contrast, and no background
"IPS glow", you'd need to spend $150+ on a good VA panel.
No speakers per posted specs and the User Guide [dell.com]. HDMI and VGA inputs. Stand does not have height adjustment (normal for value monitors), but it does tilt and looks sturdy. Also supports VESA mounting. Funny enough, the Amazon listing says it comes with an HDMI cable, which is a $5-$10 value, but the deal link (Newegg) makes no mention of it.
It's a new model. Amazon says the model was first listed November 2017.
