Interesting, I had one of the "bad batch" of HE-560s from Adorama a few months ago where the headband broke after a few weeks. Cool to see that they came out with a new revision with the metal headband and newer styling (no more fake wood grain).

Loved the sound of the HE-560 V1 but was let down by the build quality. In for a pair of the V2!

I think only about 30-40 out of 1k had issues afaik. Still, this should be a much better design. I tried the sundara before and it's sturdy enough for my big melon

If these are much better though, I'll wait for Massdrop to do a $240 pair.

they wont because adorama has exclusive on 560, so if they stop making them, then someone else will, i imagine.

Awesome price! And nice to see they made them more robust. My 560 version 1's have been fine (they're about 2 years old now). Anyone know if v2 has either deeper, or somewhat stronger bass response? On some recordings I wish they had more grunt. (But they already have more low end than my HD650's, so I'm not complaining much)

If it's anything like the sennheisers, the massdrop version isn't the same as the real thing. Plus the 560 is better than the 400 in every way.

Good to know. Perhaps next time they go on sale, or in stock, I'll get a pair, and compare them against my 58xx, and 400i. Hopefully, I can return them easily, if I wish to.
