I would be very wary of buying Ecovac products. I own the first model they ever sold and the follow up model. The first model was a solid product that curiously was replaced with a new model within 3 months of being available once it had received a decent number of 5 star reviews on amazon. I bought the second iteration and it has been trash. The sensors on it will go out in 3-6 months. I warrantied the first one after about 5 months and they sent me a new one. The new one also went out within 3 months.

This was their email denying my warranty claim. "The robot is indeed equipped with the anti-collision sensors inside the bumper which can detect obstacles and let the robot slow down to avoid collision. However, many factors can affect the anti-collision sensors signal emitting and receiving, such as lighting, color of furniture, especially dust or scratches on surface of bumper. That's why the robots not only have sensors but also have second-protection from bumper. If sensors fail to "see" obstacles somehow, bumper will hit obstacles and turn around. So bumper hitting obstacles is not a quality issue, it would be common after using the robot for a while."

So be warned, they basically said the sensor is EXPECTED to stop functioning after "a while". After the sensors stop functioning, you will be left with a vacuum that hits everything at full speed and will only change direction after making contact with what's in front of it at, full speed. Be prepared to hear a loud bang every 20 seconds.

Interestingly, after they refused the warranty claim, I was also blocked on Amazon from leaving a review for the product. In my experience, very unscrupulous seller. My first one was a model M82, and the one with the serious quality fade issues is the N79s.

Better off getting the ecovacs 900 model with mapping unless you really want the mopping feature. This lidar mapping functionality is pretty incredible - it'll know what spots that it missed and go back there. Also has virtual barriers, etc.
