The Moto G6 Play has been available at Walmart for this price for awhile---I have 2 activated on the Sprint 1 year free and after 50 days on service you might be able to get it unlocked. So far I have 1 unlocked and the other is pending--I don't think it's been on the service for 50 days yet. If you purchase from Boost and activate it on Boost it will be locked to them for 12 months. There is a thread on the Sprint Free for 1 year---for more info on how to get the service.

So I buy this online from Boost and when it arrives, I don't bother to activate on Boost.
Go to Sprint, port my existing number to the 1-year free plan and activate the phone on it?
So $80+taxes for a phone with 1 year sprint service - did I miss anything obvious?

I think you also pay ~$5 per month per line in fees & taxes for the free Sprint service.

So if I'm a current Sprint customer can I pick this up and simply activate on Sprint instead of Boost?
