There's a 'rebate' this week for
Boise POLARIS® Premium Multipurpose Paper, Letter Paper Size, 24 Lb, FSC® Certified, White, Ream Of 500 Sheets Item # 196769- The rebate is issued in the form of a Office Depot 'merchandise gift card'(it is NOT a prepaid debit card like the old Staples rebates).
- It should work like regular OD gift card, though the weekly ad contains verbiage of merchandise card.

Thanks for the post and sure hate to mess with OD rebates--like the rewards so much better. Hoping for better deals with OD. At least they started up again so that's a positive sign.

A4 is not "usual"

"A4 paper measures in at 210mm by 297mm (8.26" by 11.69") whereas US Letter paper measures at 8.5" by 11" (215.9mm by 279.4mm)"
Have you experienced this in store? My experience has been that the same code is limited to one use online but not limited in store. Have you run into ones limited in store too? Thanks!
As far as rebates the first ones took forever to receive and then the last bunch I did came very quickly and then they pulled the plug on them.
Also watch for sales tax holiday in your state. Tx is this weekend 8/10 thru 8/12 and paper was tax exempt during that time. I purchased cases of paper last year tax exempt. Office Depot has the states listed on their website---banner
It sounds like you know the difference between that and a GC, but the author of this thread does not. YUGE difference, as you point out.
A Merchandise Card is what you might get when doing a return without a receipt or something like that. It ranks above rewards certificates because it does not expire. But it has no value in terms of earning rewards, either in a 100% back offer, or in required monthly spending to qualify ink recycling rewards.
Like I said, YUGE.
