I had this unit, two of them. Both died within two weeks. When it worked it worked well enough for me to realize I wanted to buy a nicer one.

I picked up 1 for $19 back in May, and 2 more for $5 each back in June. I've done a dozen cooks with the first one so far. Up to about 32 hours. If you see any in stock near you at a higher price, just watch them over the next month or two. That is what I did and got those 2 for $5 each.

P.S. Before I used mine for the first time I cleaned it and when I took off the shield, the little fan at the bottom was a bit loose so I tightened the screw (you have to hold the shaft while you turn it). Not sure if that is causing some of the issues for people but just wanted to let others know.

They were always in a separate clearance area when I went. Walmart also has an "As seen on TV" section, usually near the checkout somewhere, which might be where they are, as that is what they have printed on them.
