Priceline [priceline.com] is having a car rental sale with rates starting from $4 per day. Pickup period is Aug 15-28, 2018. With car rentals, it's hit or miss but here's what they sent me:

For BWI - $4 - screenshot shown
Orlando - $5
Miami - $5
San Diego - $7
Dallas - $11
Phoenix - $13
Boston - $15

Got nothing like this but did end up with an SUV from Hertz out of San Diego for 27/day, pretty good.

There is nothing below $20/day at BWI or BOS no matter what dates I try (??)

BWI - $4 ??
Orlando - $5
Miami - $5
San Diego - $7

Just got bit of hope and looked up for Seattle, naaaah... minimum rental starts at $60 a day, even with those wildfire smoke outside....No thanks
