These are just the same type of cables that come with Android phones, right?

Boy those look like giant pieces of crap.

Might be alright in a pinch or road trip.

Time for the perennial reminder that Cheap USB-C Cables Could Kill Your Phone or Laptop [gizmodo.com]. Personally, it's worth more than $1 to know that I'm using safe equipment.

Avoid charging any high ticket items with a cheap USB-C cable. I myself wouldn't charge my Pixel 2 XL or Switch with a $1 USB-C charging cord!

I would be extremely wary of cheap cables as I bet these aren't up to spec.

I had a cheap C cable kill my Switch. I will now not use any USB-C cable unless it specifically states it has a 56k Ohm resistor.

Anyone check for a 56k resistor? Or a USB-IF compliance logo on the packaging?
