The speed performance between HDD and SSD is very significant. Once you go SSD, it is hard to use any computer with HDD.
We are very glad for your recent investment!!!

Thanks! Needed to upgrade an older SSD before I kill it and was looking for a decently sized replacement.

I recently bought a modern HD over a SSD because it's 3x cheaper at the same capacity. I cant justify the cost for a regular day-to-day use.

But shouldn't that give you your money's worth? The time saved day to day.

I also prefer to use ssd to boot.... I have a black 1 Tb I use for video/photos and such basically storage.....I've been looking to replace my 240 with a Tb for booting and games. Huge difference in boot speed and loading for ssd over hd

Your "modern" drive is from 1973...It gets orders of magnitude lower input output per second (10k vs 400) and sequential throughput is 1/6 of any low end ssd now. Your modern drive will crash if you bump it too hard and has many moving parts that are subject to failure within a 2-year "infant mortality" window. But you get what you pay for.

I like the SSD for the boot time. 10-15 seconds vs about 2 minute previously.
