That is the target price I was looking for and patiently waiting. Walked into Fry's today not looking for a TV. Struck a convo with sales rep and said I was waiting for price to go down. Rep said why wait and cut me a deal. Ended up with the 65" C8 for $2,199.99 + tax. It was on sale for $2,999.99, $1k off. Couldn't say no. Also offered 55" for $1,499.99. Try a local Fry's rep said week ends Saturday couldn't offer deal after. I'd imagine Black Friday prices will be around same price maybe $2k at best. But I couldn't wait wanted football action with this set.

Yes. I did it with my Chase Reserve card but the price protection benefit is getting pulled by the end of this month.

Based on my call to Discover earlier today, I am not getting the warm fuzzy that they would pricematch one of the lower sites. That site shows 65C8P, and Greentoe/urlhasbeenblocked both show 65C8PUA.
