$10 cheaper through Amazon (seller BB) plus the extended warranty is cheaper too. 3yr for $40 vs BB is 2yr for $60 or $80 for 5yr. Not sure for a $300 tv warranty is a big deal for some people. There is 1yr manufacturer warranty.
If that matters to anyone….

Bought a Toshiba 43" C350 for around $149 about 4 or 5 years ago for my daughter and she loves it. They seem to offer a decent product at a decent price.

Who says they aren't just hooking up a Roku to it? That's pretty much how all my Amazon TVs are. So I totally get ya!
Of course. People have the option to connect a dongle to their TV. Case in point, my 55" TCL (which happens to be my daily driver) contains the Google TV OS that I don't even utilize (since I'm paranoid a/b "Chinese" Smart TVs[tomsguide.com] having backdoors that can phone home when connecting to the internet), but I have a firestick 4K Max connected to it which I barely use (I know the irony), however, the main purpose of my TV has been as a computer monitor which is connected to my main gaming PC.
according to rtings.com you should have a 85" screen if you sit 12' away.I sit about 8.5' from my 65" screen which is right in the recommended viewing distance for that size.screenhttps://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/by-size/size-to-distance-relationship
I am aware of the online recommendations and, while it varies a bit from source to source, I did not find myself enjoying the experience sitting that close. I also think having such a large tv in the current room would looks too goofy and dominates everything else.
