Amazon link is only for reference. I notice Costco have new packaging for the Nutiva Organic Chia Seeds. They used to sell the 32oz (2lbs) pack for $6.99, now you can get the 48oz (3lbs) for the same price in a bigger packaging. That's pretty cheap for regular priced organic chia seeds by Nutiva. If you still have the old package of this product that you bought recently and you haven't opened the package, you should return it back to Costco and buy their new packaging so you can get extra pound of chia seeds for the same price. I have been buying Nutiva 32oz organic chia seeds for years at Costco, I wish they had these new 3 pound package for $6.99 years ago. That's 50% more seeds for the same price. I use these seeds for my breakfast everyday. I use the Kirkland lactose free milk + taster's choice instant coffee + instant oat meal + this chia seed and heat it up in the microwave. These seeds are great for making different drinks.

Thanks for the info. Do you have to soak them first to eat them? I did that one time and they swelled up and I hated the texture of them. Or can I just add them to food without soaking them first, like oatmeal.

I don't soak in the water before I use. I just heat the seeds in the microwave for 3 minutes with milk, instant coffee and instant oat meal in a big mug.

I also add them to my oats or overnight oats. I will also add them to my smoothies and you can also make chia pudding.

I found 2 lb chia seed only in my area. Which costco did you go?
