Delta Airlines have round trip airfares travelling from Los Angeles (LAX) or Seattle (SEA) to Kailua or Lihue Hawaii for $247, nonstop! This is a basic economy fare. On Delta Airlines, you may bring a carry-on bag in addition to a small personal item on board. I'd watch for other airlines to match in the coming hours or day.

like i wrote in the op, both alaska airlines and american airlines have matched this deal!
alaska's economy flights are all main cabin. both delta & american airlines' basic economy DOES ALLOW one carry-on bag in addition to one small personal item.
