There are A LOT of games for the Switch and they are adding a lot of content monthly. Tons of good titles are going to be coming out (many already have). I think the switch is going to continue to dominate. I have stopped playing Xbox 1 for the most part and I wont even play it anymore once Pokemon and D3 are released for switch. It is a good amount to drop on the console, but I think it is competitive (in a difference sense) compared to XB1. You may not be getting the insanely high end graphics but you are getting good graphics, comparable content, and mobility. I think you are going to start seeing a lot more apps on the nintendo shop too.

I want to play Mario Kart (miss the n64 days) but I don't know if I can justify dropping the coin for the console for just one game.

I did exactly that. I wouldn't recommend it unless you have time to play and people to play with. Having people to play with really is the key to making it worth it I think.

Yeah I would have to play online and I hear they are going to start charging for online play. Only other game I would possibly get is Mario Tennis or something. I don't have any consoles since I mainly game on my PC. So I may have to hold off the urge, it may not be worth it in my shoes.

They will start charging for online but its $19 per year individual or $35 for up to 8 people, so if you have friends then you could split it with them. Just with my family members, 4 of us have switches, so it'll be worth the family for $35. But it is still an expense. Especially if you don't see yourself getting the value out of the system in the first place, no sense spending the dough

Mobility is my favorite part. I just don't have time to devote to the TV for games that last hours and hours. I'm grateful that many games save right where you leave them, but still... The switch has got me playing again just because if I can get some free time of even when I am home, I am almost always in portable mode playing in between other things.

Yea it is awesome getting to watch TV with my Fiance while still being able to play and have conversations (by conversations I mean before switch, if I was hogging the living room TV, she would watch in the bedroom, and I definitely wasn't going to yell to the other room to have a conversation nor stop my game haha). If I need to go do the laundry or cook dinner, just set it down, do as I need to and can pick back up. Thats why when Pokemon and D3 come out...I will be playing nonstop haha

Yep... It's so funny... You can stay in the room, watch her crap, listen to them talk about nothing... But if you turn a game on or a program they don't like, they leave.

I just passed the one year mark for this marriage... After all the years we never lived together. This has been tough. Good luck GlockGuy07.

From my post on reddit, it looks like there are 3 people that have had positive reviews, 1 switch, 3ds, and a Wii U

Haha thanks, yea we have been together 10 years, and wont be married til after the 11yr mark but have lived together about 2 years. We are good at making it work, but it definitely was hurting my video game time. That was the only good thing to come from her longer commute with this new job. Gives me about 2 hours after work.
