It would be easier to tell us what it includes.

Excludes tools, lawn & garden, pharmacy, grocery, alcohol, tobacco, pet products, paper products, cleaning supplies, laundry care, air care, diapers, baby wipes, food storage, garbage bags, healthcare, beauty, stationery, batteries, books & magazines, greeting cards, and party supplies, gift cards, money orders, wire transfers, protection agreements, fuel prior purchases and partial-paid special order items.

I saw this "deal" earlier, but was reluctant to take advantage of it. I've had three bad experiences using points. I'd buy something using points and then submit the purchase only to find the points removed. The points would be deducted and the final purchase price given, but then after I'd press buy the points wouldn't be used.

The last time I couldn't even cancel afterward because the cancel button did nothing at all.

Here's a tip to follow when using points: Never review your purchase from the shopping cart. I think it's there where your points are removed. You review your purchase and then click buy, and they're suddenly removed.

Then, you have to call them up, get routed around again and again, all while talking to customer service reps you can't really understand, who don't try to help you at all.

Then, you're stuck with refusing the purchase as the only way to cancel it and get your money back. It's doable. But it's all a real hassle just to try to save a few bucks.

I took advantage of this deal 2 days ago, and thus far, no points have been added to my account even though it says the 1st installment would be added after 24 hours of purchase. All of the items have shipped and still no points have been added or are even pending. When clicking on the order summary in the SYW account, it shows no points earned even though my email confirmation says $50 in points were earned. Now, I would have to spend time fighting with them. Sucks!

The deal says 48 hours for the first 25k, then the second 25k hits on 10/1. Both valid for 14 days. I bought in-store today and can see both on my account, appearing on those days correctly. On the SYW points page, by default it shows you transactions for the last month. Change that to 2018, and you'll see when points arrive in the future, as well as when they expire.

Oh, I could've sworn I read "24 hours" like their other promotions ("First installment of points credited to account 24 hours after transaction and valid for 30 days.") But my points did appear today. Smilie

Do you see it now? It's in the 3rd sentence of the T+C's at the top of this thread. I agree, this is the first time I've ever seen a 48 hour delay on a SYW promo. I guess we're getting to the point where every hour counts.

The Kmart near me started the liquidation process today. The entire shopping complex (Kmart, Whole Foods, CVS and a dozen small shops) is going to be razed to make room for apartments. The other stores have made a deal with the landowner to keep their doors open for another 3 years. KMart declined.

Imagine the negotiating strength KMart had: Us or nothing for 3 years. The landowner probably would have offered some pretty sweet terms... but no. Kmart wasn't interested.

The end is near.

I didn't even notice the terms in the OP. laugh out loud I scanned through the terms on their site and thought it was like the other promos. But it doesn't matter now, I've gotten the points. Smilie
