I ordered the 50 lb to pick up at Wal-Mart and grabbed a cart as I walked up to the counter to get it. The older lady who went back to get the package ignored my stating that it was going to be heavy and I brought the cart to make it easier. She disappears to the back room and a couple minutes later she reappears, hunched over, clearly struggling. I hurried over to grab it from her. What is sad is the number of fellow Wal-Mart employees that simply walked past her without helping.
A while later, I ordered the 80 lb for delivery because I had a pretty burly set of guys delivering to me for UPS and Fed Ex, as well as an ex-military delivering for USPS. On the day of delivery, I got a phone call from the Fed Ex guy telling me to come and get it. Basically, he pulled it off the back of the truck and apparently promptly dropped it to the ground - box was destroyed. He then just put it upright, brushed it off, tidied the box a bit, and called me. Funny thing was that the guy was a lot bigger than I was. He tells me "I hope you're strong, buddy, cuz this is heavy." I gave him a goofy look, grabbed the exposed handle through the crunched box and promptly lifted it up. "I think I'll be alright. Thinking about ordering the 100-lb one next, man!" He did not appear amused.
Then you're doing dumbbell swings......

I've subbed dumbbells many, many times, but there's something about the balance and shape of a kettlebell that makes it better for certain things ( swings, definitely). I could never really get into kettlebell snatches, since they're more like a "swing & flip" and the back of my forearm takes a beating for no good reason. Dumbbells at least allow for more normal snatching.
Sounds like a nightclub with a basket for your car keys.
