Is Amazon's subscribe & save in jeopardy?

I just placed an order for an S&S product and got this notification for the first time:

"The price of your subscription may change based on the price of the item(s) in your order at the time the order is processed."

Well now...this defeats the entire purpose of the program, locking in the price. I can't find anything online about Amazon changing the terms. Anyone know anything about this? Is it just particular products?

They are referring to future orders. You are guaranteed this price for the first order, but not for subsequent orders. That is why most people cancel after the first order ships.

I don't think so. I've never seen this notification before, having regularly used the program for 4-5 years, and there's nothing in the text I copied to indicate that it only applies to future orders. The words "at the time the order is processed" are pretty telling.

That is interesting. I will keep a lookout on future orders. I hope it is just a mistake.

It's from the page after you click "subscribe now" but before "confirm subscription," where it gives a full breakdown of price etc.

So I looked up the same item you ordered and here's what that page looks like right now. Still doesn't have that language for me. Confused

Mine also has that notification about Colorado and Texas which yours doesn't. You might not be in either of those states, but neither am I!

So I just ordered my 5th item and it still shows the same language as before for me. Hope yours was just an outlier but suspicious nonetheless. Confused
