At least one of these has been available in store for a long time and was on clearance some time ago. However, I found them still more expensive than similar product that I found at Lowes.

The issue with micro mesh is that is acts like sand paper and holds onto pine needles and small debris. They are also hard to hose off or brush off. We've been installing all types of guards for 17+ years. The best we've found was Leaf Relief. There are no perfect gutter guards. But for maintenance and cleaning, and keeping all debris out, they were the best. Plygem makes them. If you do use the Costco brand, do not tape them on. When the roof is due for replacement, the guards need to come off to replace the drip edge. Self tapping screws are much easier to deal with than sticky residue when reinstalling.

Any recommendations on a guard specifically to keep wiffle balls, tennis balls, etc out? There are no trees or actual debris I need to stop, just the kids hitting stuff in there. 2 story with walkout and I need to stop borrowing an extension ladder plus getting up there sucks.

edited to add: When it rains here, it generally pours. I am hesitant to put a "typical" guard on because the rain will rush right over it almost like I don't have gutters at all.

Just the cheap plastic snap in gutter guards at Home Depot.
