There are superchargers in almost every direction and more being built and the cars have a range of hundreds of miles so unless you are driving in circles... It does require more careful trip planning but you can also charge at basically any RV park. Certainly EVs are not for everyone at this point and most EV owners have at least one gas vehicle.
