Think about that.
My thinking is: i have a little $30 Lepai 2020 amp that works pretty well with the legendary AJ Pioneer bookshelves - would it be enough for these to be an appreciable step up, or would I need to buy a new small amplifier too?

I guess my question is am I better off with a set like the elac with the matching center or 3 q100(or any other speaker that may be worth looking at)? I'd be matching either system with a svs pb 1000 sub and probably get cheaper surrounds for the meantime. This setup would be primarily for movies and tv shows and occasionally music. Any advice would be appreciated.

SVS Ultra bookshelf will crap all over ELAC Debut 2.0 B6.2 with a SVS sub and they're almost the same price when you consider the sub and/or center channel.
I went A/B'd this center vs the C1 and I liked the C1 better. The Debut center is HUUUUUGE, and had a little more depth but I liked the tonality and clarity of the C1 better.
Mind you acoustics etc play a big role in comparing speakers. I have Denon x1400 and ran audessey on both centers so it was a fair comparison.
