Amazon just lowered the price of the Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum RGB Tunable Gaming Mouse from $49.99 to $38.75. Good price for one of the best gaming mice out there.

This is the lowest price according to 3C's. But keep in mind this is the 12K dpi sensor, not the new 16K Hero. Still a great mouse, nonetheless.

Is there gonna be any real noticable differences between this on and the 16k version?

For the home gamer, no, just a lighter wallet. I bought this a few years back after my beloved mx518 died after a decade of use. Good mouse, good price.

No, most gamers (what this mouse is marketed towards) use between 400 and 1000 DPI anyway.

I've never used above 1800 and that's for just surfing/desktop stuff. Gaming DPI i set to 475

Best mouse I've owned, and I've owned a TON of mice. Really has everything you need and nothing you don't. Comfortable on med to lg hands, not sure about small hands.

Nope. Hero has practically the same real-world performance as PMW3366. For this mouse, it's purely marketing. Hero, however, is very efficient which is great for the wireless models (G Pro Wireless, G305 etc) and puts them on par with wired mice.

Good mouse indeed, switched to the newer wireless model I think they call that the g902 I prefer this cause the size on this was perfect for me.
