Friend of ours has the big one, I think its the 50" tbh the first time he showed it to us, I thought it the flames were actually real. Looks really nice and gives of a ton of heat.
For $900 I am really thinking to get one in our living room and have it placed under the 65" tv. We do have a real fireplace, but we hardly use it as its a pain to maintain, not to mention that it does not give off enough heat to make it worth the effort. Hopefully I can convince the wife to get on board with this one.
Probably better than the real fireplace we have that barely heats anything 2 feet around it.
You might consider either a fireplace grate with a blower, or a glass door setup with same to blow warm air into the room. Saw one once built into the brick of the fireplace, but that would be a impossible or extremely expensive retrofit. HTH

FWIW, if you click on 'bundles', on either the 50" or 34" pages, you can add a $25 Hulu Plus gift card included at no extra cost.
Will one of these double our electric bill like an electric space heater?? I need some kind of heater for my mother's bedroom. It's freezing in the winter.
