I'm tempted but I see that lifetime was on sale around Black Friday 2017 for $30 and the same price for Christmas 2016. It seems likely that they will do something similar in the next couple of months.

Yes, your account will extend for the subscription period.

When you buy the Windscribe subscription from StackSocial (or Tanga or any of such re-seller sites)you get a voucher code that can be redeemed on Windscribe's site. If you are already have a WindScribe account, just login and you will find a "Claim Voucher" button in the account status section. Click on that, enter the Voucher code in the box and click on claim. Your account expiration date will extended by whatever period the voucher code has.
