The pocket knife was dull, but sharpened easily. It's probably worth $5. I gave it away, so can't comment on edge holding.

Above comments apply to the 2 knife set with black plastic handles and pushbutton unlock utility knife.
I just got the 3 pack of aluminum handle utility knives and the lock is much safer. They also had single knife for $5 if you don't want 3.

Looks like you get two things a knife and a utility knife. At first I thought it might be a Swiss army type combo of the two in one.

I think it's a holiday thing as all my stores have 40-80 in stock. Also, utility knife deals are a big staple of any Lowe's/HD holiday sale.
That being said, it's also a pretty decent deal if you need one.
