I like how they have to mention this "The flashlights also have a power switch that kills battery "drainage" when placed in the off position to provide longer battery life." since a set they sold a few years ago would drain the batteries when off.
You would think it's the norm for something like a flashlight not to drain the battery when it's in the off position.
Anyways, they look nice but I think I have way too many flashlights from a previous Lowe's clearance deal. I'm a sucker for flashlights though, might take a look at them if I happen to go by Costco before the 15th.

Mine are all 4-5 years old, and I've never had one drain from sitting.. Load them up with Eneloops, and they're good for years. Found one the other day from a couple years ago in a jacket. Still charged... Up north, we get blizzards, and ice storms... Got quite the collection of flashlights, but these are my go to.

Not sure how long ago they were being sold but it was the 3 pack that was multi-colored. Here's a thread from 2016 that posted them on clearance at the warehouse and people talking about the drain.
I never ended up calling up Duracell but now that I just remembered I might do that. I have in a drawer that I have to leave the end cap unscrewed a bit so it doesn't drain the battery. Depends if it's a hassle or not to get a replacement cap since I have lots of flashlights at the moment.
Can't return mine to Costco since I had 1 of the 3 flashlights stolen from my car a while back (shortly after purchase) and I think Costco requires the complete set returned.

Most led lighta don't drain batteries
The old bulbs did just watch out for battery leakage

Interesting read. At least they replaced the end caps. Thanks for the info!

Insane in the battery drain. Insane in the drain.

I bought these about a month ago. Debated waiting since I knew they'd eventually go on sale but hey, YOLO. Ha!
Here's my take on them:
They feel good in the hand.
There is a high pitched whine when on, and when it's in strobe mode the whine constantly starts/stops with each strobe.
I wish they used AA cells instead for longer run times
They're bright. High has both LEDs on, medium the thrower and low only the inspection light type beam.
There is a hint of blue in the inspection light type beam. The others are snowy white.
It can be a bit difficult screwing on the tail cap - you have to line it up right.
Not bad lights for $5 each to throw in the glove box or keep in desk drawers, garage, etc. You could definitely do worse.
Does it cycle through the different brightness modes when you click the power button continuously from off? I'm looking for a flashlight that can be simply powered on and off for an elderly family member to use without getting confused by the brightnesses.
Each flashlight is powered by four AAA alkaline batteries. Twelve batteries are included.
And that's what tells you these are made by a battery company (I personally run eneloop for virtually everything -- though I'd rather run one AA eneloop than four AAA -- but most people don't.)
