Lime offered free helmets before through their app, and I received one in the mail just for requesting it. It's decent, nothing fancy, maybe worth $10, but it was free! ($1 shipping maybe). So this is legit.

Wonder if they'll send me another one just for signing the pledge?

The wording on the email says the first 25,000 riders which makes me think you have to ride first.
