Very tempting, I want the battery life but I also can't ignore that a few hundred more will get you a MBP.

I feel like apple intentionally overpriced this latptop so that they could run "SALES" through the holiday period. These resellers are probably paying well under $1000 from Apple. After apple gets all these high margin sales, they will likely make a big price drop in the spring.

You could have Best Buy price match Microcenter, and use the AMEX $30 off $300, to save a bit more.

Much more reasonable price than the ridiculous MSRP. Still expensive of course, but way better than MSRP. Too bad I have no Microcenters nearby

Lol there will not be a price drop on these . Apple rarely ever drops prices. When was last time we saw a price cut on a new product?

We will see sales like these but we will not see a price drop from apple.

It is a good deal if you want MacOS. If the operating system doesn't matter, get the XPS from outlet.
