I have an older dewalt set with a similar case. The bit holders in the case are very annoying to get the bits back into.
been this price for about a month now...
and back in July for a month or two.

it's a good price on a good set, especially with the various 2in and 3.5in phillips bits, they're not things you find in these set normally. i personally could do without all the 1in guys... they're kind of a waste of space in my tool box, with the quick release on all impact drivers now i have no use for a bit driver and them for quick bit swaps.
HD has the Milwaukee impact set for sale right now too. I'm laughing because reading the comments on that one people are saying it's a PITA to *remove* the bits from the Milwaukee one

I agree. I merge all my most used bits into a milwaukee case.

This is their pre-Black Friday sale price. Wonder if it will be cheaper after 11/21?

I know DeWalt tends to be better quality, but how does this compare to the Ryobi deal from Home Depot? That one is 44 pieces for $8.

Also for consideration, I do have a different DeWalt bit set, and as others have said the bits are a complete PITA to get back in the case.

I'm only looking at this deal because I bought a Ryobi set about a year ago, and all of the phillips bits have slowly degraded and now chew up any screws I use them on.

Although I'd probably always choose Dewalt over Ryobi, all things equal, I think the other set is a better deal if only for the hex to 1/4 and 3/8 socket adapters.

I think I paid about 7 bucks for one of those alone and it was totally worth it, enabling me to use my impact driver with my existing 3/8 drive socket set, most recently to put together a Costco outdoor playset.

Milwaukee is even worse. I merge all of mine into a Bosch case.

As for this set, it's an excellent deal. DeWalt is the first major brand to come up with this system in regard to the magnets and how they function on the long bits you see. For $10, it's a no brainer. Also, the case isn't remotely as bad as these people are making it out to be.. just look at the reviews across the entire internet, don't go by what a few comments say here, look at the overall ratings then decide.

The bits themselves should be the driving factor for you, not the freaking case. The bits are amazing. Source: I own them and exclusively use an impact driver with them.

I've found the DeWalt tips to be superior to Ryobi in fit and durability.

Same price back in July. Used a $10 off $50 back then.
