For the record....it was 89.99 just a few days ago....in a flash sale. So technically it's almost like a price increase to me. It was also as low as $85 at Target in 2017 as far as I can remember.

I use this tablet daily and treat it as my TV (since I don't currently have a regular TV).
For the price I had bought during August or so (~$75 after AMEX discount), it is definitely very good.

Pros:
-Speakers are awesome and sound really loud unless the source is crappy.
-Screen is very nice and big and great for media consumption
-Installing google play store requires no rooting, only 3 APKs to download in a particular sequence and installing.
-Show Mode (May be for some), I have turned off alexa and show mode as I don't use them.
-Stellar Battery Life.

Cons
-You may have to restart this thing every 2 days else it become sluggish and all.
-Heavily pushing amazon content everywhere, doesn't bother me much so I am ok.
-Everyday, while watching my stuff, wifi will disconnect once in a while. it does reconnect back in a about 10 seconds but it is little bothering.

It's only on lockscreen and you can contact amazon from within the tablet's settings and request them to turn off the ads and they will (for free).

Agreed. I'm waiting on a good fire hd 8 kids edition. Last year they were going for 50. This year it doesn't look like it's gonna happen

I see AMEX Discount $30 in my cart automatically after adding this. My default payment method is AMEX. I didn't apply any code (the axpfiretab10 says invalid code). What gives ?

damn i missed that.. i have an email from them that they owe me 30% off a tablet. so this would be $70 for me.

I don't need it, but can always take another 10" - however, i think ill wait longer

Hmm... Will have to throw my new Amazon amex in there and see if it does the same. I have the $25 off for the trade in in there already. $45 would be sweet. Think I'd bump to the 64gb then.
