...so use the case as a small parts organizer and use the bits to bolster/replenish your preferred bit case or bit holders? Seems like I never have enough of either.

That is if you are after bits and small bit containers
The main feature here is the small packout organizer.

I got this deal a few months back and returned it. My OCD will not allow me to have a bunch of loose bits rolling around.

I thought the same thing, but my OCD drives me crazy when I'm missing a bit.

This is a topic I've tried to work out for years and am finally happy with my setup. Context is homeowner with lots of projects.

I use two of the harbor freight small parts organizers which is the perfect size for bits as my repository.

I use these to maintain stock of a medium size Milwaukee bit holder where I have 1 copy of each bit in there. When I wear out or lose a bit from the Milwaukee, refill from repo, when case is empy, order more buts of that type immediately and refill

They are impact rated driver bits - they will work fine with your impact driver. They aren't drill bits.

I have a different set with many of these bits, it's great. I'm not a pro and I've had zero problem with slipping with these bits. Great grip! None have broken in a few years of use too
