Just came across this when I was browsing for phone deals on Cricket. Cricket is having iPhone $100 off promotion with port in and 1 month of service until Dec 2. With the promotion, you can get the iPhone 6s for $100 + cost of one month service/SIM/activation etc. I tested it out by adding everything into the cart, and my total came out to be $243. Though, I was unable to get the $100 off since my phone number is from ATT MVNO. For those who have a eligible number, I think your total should come out to be around $140.
The deal doesn't seem to be as good as the Metro by T-mobile iPhone 6s deal, but I think each have their Pros and Cons:
For the Metro deal:
+ For one phone, the total is $49 (phone) + $15 (activation) + $50 (one month service) = $115 + tax
+ For limited time, they are giving out Airpod for free when you port in and buy a iPhone 6s
+ Some people claimed the phone will automatically unlock after 6 month even when they only paid for one month of service
- For immediately unlock, Ebay factory unlock cost $60 now (used to be like $25-$30)
- The deal is in store only, and not every store carry the iPhone 6s
- The store employees are kind of hit or miss. Sometimes they charge you for things you didn't ask for or didn't enter correct promo code (check the Metro Airpod deal thread if you need more info)
- Only Rose Gold color is available
For the Cricket deal
- For one phone, the total is $130+tax
+ Can be ordered online
+ Ebay factory unlock is a lot cheaper (only around $10)
+ Space Grey color

If you don't have such an account, you can buy a fake phone account on eBay. Just search for "Port-In Numbers". It costs $3 to $4, each. Make sure that the item includes: phone number, account number, and password. And make sure that the carrier is NOT AT&T or Cricket - because you can only port over a number from a competing carrier (Cricket is a subsidiary of AT&T).

You need not add credit to the account. If they insist, tell that I have a T-Mobile prepaid card which I will apply it after activation.
They will give you a 10 digit phone number and ask you to set a PIN for your account.
Once this is done, you can port-in this number to Cricket. All you need is your Phone number, account number and PIN. Account number for T-Mobile prepaid is '1' followed by your 10 digit phone number.

Ebay, ordered 3 numbers this morning for $3 each (Just search "T-Mobile Port-In Numbers"). Included phone number for my area code, account number, and pin number. Was able to order three 6S's for various family still using 5S's. Total after discount, month of service, and tax was $136.xx. Not bad for a brand new, sealed model with warranty.

If everything goes well, you will only have to pay $105 + tax upfront, and you will walk out of the store with a brand new iPhone 6s. If you don't intend to stay with Metro, all you need to do is to not pay for the service for next month. You will be able keep the phone and you don't need to call them to cancel.
